Mixed Media Kits at Barnes & Noble - with Lisa

This Happened by Jen Matott

ThisHappened - 3 copyHi, Artsy Friends!  I had to opportunity to go to an all weekend scrapbooking retreat this past weekend and had a blast creating, eating, and laughing!  I had the photos from my trip to the Faber-Castell warehouse and had been meaning to scrap it.  It was two years ago... see how long it takes me to get photos done?   I had so much fun looking around their warehouse and offices.

So, I wanted my page to be as artsy and fun as the trip was!  I started with a piece of patterned paper that looked like I scribbled on it with colored pencils (I didn't!  It came that way!) and used a palette knife to smear Texture Luxe™ from the Mixed Media Kit.  I used one of our Mixed Media stencils from the kit, that I had used in a demo that weekend and was covered in mediums, Gelatos® colors in Tropical, and  dried.  I just pressed the stencil into the wet Texture Luxe™.

See all that yummy medium and color on that stencil?  I just couldn't waste it so I used it on a page!  These stencils are perfect for all mediums but also perfect for use in projects themselves!  I'd love to see what you do with our Mixed Media Kit in Tropical!
