Carolyn Dube here playing with cardboard, Gelatos, and Glass Bead Glitter Gel to make a sign. It can be tough to remember progress not perfection when creating, so I've made a little sign as a reminder for a friend that I think could use the reminder. Come to think of it, I could use that reminder too!
Add a thin layer of Gesso to a piece of cardboard. Next, add the rainbow with Gelatos, drawing and making marks all willy-nilly!
Using old alphabet stickers, add the words. I chose "Progress not Perfection". Once the letters are placed where you want them, spread the Glass Bead Glitter Gel on top. It will look creamy white, but never fear, you'll be able to see the words and all that color when once dry.
The dots that you can see in the white below are the little glass beads that are in the gel. The glitter is there too but the camera had a hard time picking it up.
When it is completely dry, the Glass Bead Glitter Gel is wonderfully translucent, so you've got the texture of the small round glass beads with the sparkle of glitter. Now this sign is ready to sit on the shelf, a reminder that a step forward, no matter how big or small, is progress.
