One Layer Stamping with Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils

Hi everyone! Jill here with my newest artsy obsession- watercoloring!  To achieve this look, begin by stamping your favorite image with a Black 199 Stamper’s Big Brush Pen.  When your stamping is dry it will not bleed when you add water because Stamper’s Big Brush Pens are india ink.

For easy blending, simply color onto your image where you would like your darkest shading.  Next, using a water brush, color onto the white section of your image and slowly move down into the area that you colored. The pigment from the Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils instantly blends and turns to paint! You can see this technique in action here:

Faber-Castell: Stamper’s Big Brush Pens (Black 199), Art GRIP®  Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils (111, 123, 126, 156, 168), Water brush
Penny Black Stamps:  30-159 Dahlias, 30-156 Tweet, Tweet
Other: watercolor paper

Beautiful spring-inspired card! Is there a specific way stamps will need to be cleaned after using Black 199 Stamper’s Big Brush Pen on them?

Gina Howe

Hi Mary! Thanks for your comment. I use a baby wipe immediately after stamping to clean my stamps after I use the Stamper's Big Brush Pens. Happy Stamping!
