Fall Canvas and Gelatos ATC

Fall ATC MargieH FCDMC GDT OCT0413
Hi, everyone! I am excited to share an ATC (Artist Trading Card) project, using canvas and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Gelatos® for a letterpress technique! The colors from the Gelatos are so vibrant against the canvas - it really makes my ATC pop!

First I colored the canvas base with Butterscotch, Tangerine and Red Cherry Gelatos. After misting the colors, I blended them with my fingers to create an ombre look (graduation of color - shading of color tones from dark to light).

When the canvas was almost dry, I letterpressed it using Spellbinders® M-Bossabilities™ Regal Folder (side B). I colored the raised area of the folder with Chocolate Gelatos, placed the color sided down and embossed through my Grand Calibur® machine.

I cut the canvas with ATC die #4 (the smallest die being #1) and to support its back, I cut/embossed thin chipboard and patterned paper with the same ATC die. Adhered all and edge with Chocolate Gelatos to create a finished look.

Next I cut/embossed Cattails, Petite Labels One and Window Three die templates. Windows Three die was cut twice with cardstock to give it some dimension and strength when adhered together.

DieCut 3L
I highlighted the die cut with Gold Champagne Gelatos, adhered to the ATC base and trimmed. The Cattails die cut was placed on the left side of the window.

"Fall" from JustRite Papercraft® Autumn Vintage Labels Three Clear Stamps was stamped with Black Stamper's Big Brush Pen on the Petite Labels One die cut. These Big Brush Pens are India ink base which is odorless, crisp to stamp with and waterproof/archival safe!

Here's a second look at the final project...

What a beautiful creation! Love the colors you used.

@Lisa, I used Canvas Corp Canvas but you can use any canvas as long as you back it with chipboard like I did for more support. HTH! Thanks for asking :)

Love this project!
