Textures and Design Memory Craft

Hi everyone! It's Lisa here with you today and I'm really happy to bring you a fun card showing you some easy ways to make a pretty card for your Thanksgiving - or ANY day.

I'm using a variety of textured products: cardstock, wood veneer, and cork to work on (and even a little vellum as a finishing touch). I know that my Stamper's Big Brush Pens loooove porous surfaces and Gelatos ® can be used almost anywhere! So, let me show you my finished card and then sit back and watch the little video I prepared for you. :)

I hope you enjoyed the video. I did have a few technical issues, but hopefully the end product makes it all worth while. :) Wishing you all a VERY Happy Thanksgiving (or a great Thursday, if it's not Thanksgiving in your part of the world).

*All supplies are listed by name/number at the end of the video.*

LisaLisa Adametz I'm a veteran of the United States Air Force and a stay-at-home "mom" to two beautiful Ragdoll kitties.Creativity is in my blood and I've always been making something. Cross-stitch, silk ribbon embroidery...I love the creative process! I first looked into making cards as a way to keep in touch with family and friends after moving to CA in 2008 and wanting more than store-bought cards could offer. In my eyes cards are personal mini-pieces of art and a part of your soul that you are sending through the mail. I love dimension and color. LOTS of color.

Fall Gelato Embellishments

Hi, it’s Jill  here and I don’t know about you, but I’ve been enjoying the colors of fall!  These colors inspired my card today.  To begin, I reached for Prima’s leaf embellishments (#553609 Splendor Winter). For rich saturated color, I colored heavily onto the leaves with Gelatos™ then spritzed with water. I blended the color into the cracks and crevices of the leaves using my fingers.  Here’s a look at the Gelato™ colors I used:

Doodling fun with White PITT Artist Pen®!!

Intro_all four

Linda here, and today I'm going to show you the results of some doodly fun I had using the White PITT® Artist Pen!

Since I got my DT package, I've been staring at the White PITT® Artist Pen, wondering what fun I could have with it (besides the obvious, drawing in white).

So I sat down recently to just have a play, see what came about.

Here are the four cards I made.

One Card Three Ways

Hello, Leonie here today.

I know it's getting closer to Christmas and we're seeing some fabulous Christmas craft ideas here on the Design Memory Craft blog but before I get busy creating all things Christmas I have a few birthdays that all occur around this time of the year.  In a bid to stay organised and knowing that next month is always a busy time I  created some quick yet effective cards.  I thought why not create the same card but use slightly different techniques to give each card it's own individual touch?

So today I'd like to show you just how versatile Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® products can be.   I’ve created one card design using three different yet quite simple techniques.   As you can see the results are quite different but equally effective and pretty.  I put together a collage step by step for each card to show you just how simple it was to create these cards.

Here's the first card I made using Gelatos® and a dry blending technique.
