An Ornamental Hagoita
Take the Challenge with Mou, January 2014

Thoughts on 2014...

Hello Leonie here today.  It's 2014,  which had me thinking about what things my family is looking forward to this year.  So I decided to document some of the big events and new experiences my family expect to go through next year and to also wander what unexpected things may be on the horizon for us.

I've used Gelatos® to create circular designs on my background and added shading and contrast with Pitt® Pastel pencils.

This is a video of how I created the background.

I hope you've found something to inspire you here to get cretive with your Gelatos and Pastel Pencils.

Happy New Year,

Leonie Neal-Dawson.

Awesome! Love the fun techniques you used!

Great techniques! What kind of paper were you using for this?

Great page and love the techniques Leonie!

Thanks ladies. :) Lesley the white paper is a heavy (140 lb) watercolor cardstock. Great for mixed media projects when you add a lot of wet mediums. It doesn't tend to warp as much. 😊
