A Little Fun in the Sun with Terri

Aaaah!  Summer is here.  In my house that means sunshine, time at the pool, friends, and fun!  I thought I would play with my "stuff"  while watching the kids have some fun in the sun.  I made a fun little card that I can send off to the grandparents.

Quick and easy.  Let me show you how.  I began with a card made from Bazzill smooth white cardstock.  Using the roll of tape on the desk I traced a circle in the center of the front of the card.  Carefully I painted the inside of the circle with Gesso.  Once dry, I sketched a sandcastle in the center.

Terrific Kid Layout by Tonya Gibbs

Hi  everyone  I hope you are having a great weekend.  A few months ago my sweet little nephew called me to tell me he was given the Terrific Kid award for his 1st Grade class.  I told him that “I already knew he was a terrific kid.”  He said “Well, now everyone at school knows!”  LOL!  So today, I'm going to let the World know with this beautiful Mixed Media layout!

Rainbow card using PITT® Pastel Pencils

Hi everyone! I'm Susanne from Germany and on the guest Design Team this summer. This is so exciting for me!!! It's my first post today and I'd like to show you a rainbow flower card! I'm a fan of bright and happy colors. On the video below you can see how the background is created. I used VersaMark ink and some of the Faber-Castell PITT® Pastel Pencils.

After the background is finished I'm going to embellish my card and add a sentiment. For the sentiment I used some of the brand new Chalk Board Paint. I coverd my cardstock twice before I stamped on it with my white pigment ink pad. I decided to cut it into a banner because I wanted a loose look on the heavy background.

Altered Frame by Zoey E.

Hello everyone! Well, where do I begin from!? I am thrilled to show you the project I made with Faber Castell Design Memory Craft®  ! I am beyond happy and proud to be part of this talented group and sometimes I still have to pinch myself to see if this is for real!
For my first post I've worked with the Steampunk Gelatos®  - I couldn't wait to get my hands on this set! we go!

I found a lonely photo frame in my stash and I decided to alter it , I first covered it with some tissue paper and with Gel Medium I glued it to the photo frame. When everything was dried, I toned down the tissue paper with Gesso

The wind-bell decoration

Hi everyone!  Madoka here.  I would like to share  my first work as Guest Designer.

This is called "Furin" in Japan.

It's a wind-bell which is hung under the eaves and makes a sound when receiving a wind. It is made of glass or metal so that it makes cooler-feeling sound.

Japanese enjoy the sound and go through a sticky hot summer.

Chalkboard Birthday Tin

600WM ChalkboardBirthdayTin MargieHiguchi JUN14

Hi everyone! Margie Higuchi here. Today, I’d like to show how I repurposed a mint tin by using many wonderful Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® products! I love how the colors and mediums mix and match to make it SO EASY to create!

First we need to prep the tin by sanding the surface and then applying Gesso. I put two coats on with dry time in between coats.
