Four Cards You Can Create Today!

FC 4 Cards

You can never have enough cards.  There's always a birthday to celebrate, someone to thank, someone to support or simply to say hello.

Here, I share 4 great cards you too can create, today.  I love sharing techniques that can be quickly applied and duplicated.  Here are the steps....

FC Supplies

 Gather your supplies.

FC Background

Use Gelatos® Cotton Candy to create the background.  Using a piece of 8x10.5 piece of mixed media paper, I colored the background, dipped my paint brush in water and spread the Gelatos®, being sure to create brush strokes on the page.

FC Layering

Repeat above by layering Gelatos® Blueberry, Boysenberry and Grape, respectively.  Use same brush technique as above, being sure to dry between layers.

FC 4 Card Backgrounds

Cut into four equal rectangles, shoud be 4x5.25 each, to create card fronts.

FC 4 Backgrounds Stamped

Use stamps to add a few accents to card fronts.  I used the Gelatos® Double Scoop Licorice to color onto my stamps.  For two I stamped as is, for the other two I spritzed a little water onto the stamp before stamping.

FC 4 Cards Fronts

Ink the edges of the card fronts and adhere card fronts to 4.24x5.5 card base.  For each card, stamp and cut out a flower image.

FC Card 1

For the first card, I colored the flower image using the Gelatos® Grape and a wet paint brush.  Use the Gelatos® Double Scoop Licorice for the center.  Dry, crumble and adhere flower to card.  Add handwritten sentiment and doodle lines to complete.

FC Card 2

For the second card, create a wash with the Gelatos® Cotton Candy, mix it with some Whipped Spackle and color the flower, creating dimension, texture and color.

For the center, add Whipped Spackle and color over with the Gelatos® Double Scoop Licorice.  Adhere with a pop dot.  Add handwritten sentiment and doodles to complete.

FC Card 3

For the third card, spread Glass Bead Glitter Gel over flower image. For the center, add Glass Bead Glitter Gel and color over with Gelatos® Double Scoop Licorice.

Adhere with a pop dot.  Add handwritten sentiment to complete.

FC Card 4

For the fourth card, spread Glass Bead Glitter Gel over flower image. Take a wet paint brush, rub over the top of the Gelatos® Boysenberry and use to paint over the Glass Bead Glitter Gel to add color.  Color directly on top with Gelatos® Boysenberry to create deeper color.  For the center, add Glass Bead Glitter Gel and color over with Gelatos® Double Scoop Licorice.

Curl up edges of flower and adhere with a pop dot.  Add handwritten sentiment and a doodled heart to complete.

Done and ready to send!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and are excited to give this a try.
