Altered Bottle.....by Shilpa

 IMG_3341

Hello Everyone, Shilpa here, I created this mixed media Altered Bottle with wonderful Design Memory Craft Mix and Match Products.

I've step by step tutorial to share with you...

First of all, I mixed  Gesso and Gel Medium in my pallete,  Gel Medium works as a adhesive and this mixure gives fabulous base to glass. I let it dry completely,  it dries very fast.

Next, I stamped Bloom girl Image on white Tissue Paper with Black Stamper's Big Brush Pen. It has archival India ink, which is waterproof.

I brought my yummy Gelatos® Double Scoop®(Guava, Bubble gum, Mango, Lemon, Chocolate, Butterscotch, Gold Champagne )to color this beauty. I used Deluxe Waterbrush to pick up the color from Gelatos and applied on the design. It is just like a watercolor painting.....very easy!! I've also used PIIT® artist pens at the edges to give more shading and depth.

I fussy cut the image and adhered it onto my bottle with Gel Medium.  I loved  how wonderfully Gel Medium worked to attach thin tissue paper to bottle.

Ohh ..yes..bring on the texture. Whipped Spackle creates  amazing texture and dries fast, so you can move on to next step in your project. I created feather designs and circles with Whipped spackle and Stencils on the bottle.

I colored the bottle with Gelatos and Baby wipes. Yes, babywipes can work as paint brush, and create color textures.

I embellished bottle with stickers, ribbons, lace and flowers.  And my mixed media bottle is ready.

Here are some more pictures..
