"She" Mixed Media Canvas
Hi friends! Linsey here. I hope you had a great weekend! I had a fun one and even completed this mixed media art canvas, which will be a birthday gift for one of my very talented and inspiring friends. I love doing mixed media art canvases with little or no premeditation because it allows me to just create and see what comes of it. I find this artistic process very freeing, especially with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products! I hope you enjoy it as well! And here we go! "She"....
I started by laying a few pretty patterned papers down on an 8x10" canvas board with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Gel Medium and sealing it with another layer on top of the paper. The 3 powerful "she" sentiments come later, but I adhered them down the same way with Gel Medium.
Next, I added some texture with a cool stencil and Whipped Spackle.
Then I decided try mixing Whipped Spackle and Metallic Mint Gelatos®. I love how easily Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® products blend, mix and match together!
Mmm...dreamy.......
Now I added pops of color with Bubble Gum Gelatos® and a water spritzer.
Now I just had fun adding a mixed media of texture and interest with stamping, lace, paper doily, washi tape, cheesecloth, sequins, mulberry flowers, metal embellishments, and buttons. I also added a bit more Metallic Mint, Bubble Gum Gelatos® letting the colors drip; as well as splatters of Black Licorice Gelatos® and water around and blended black into the cheesecloth and around the edges of the canvas. Here's a few close-ups...
Supplies:
Gelatos® Colors Metallic Mint from Metallic Gelatos Color & Clear Stamp #770155
Gelatos® Colors Bubble Gum from Gelatos Color Red-#770156
Gelatos® Colors Black Licorice from Gelatos Color BLACK & WHITE #770150
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Gel Medium
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Whipped Spackle
Thanks for sticking around til the end! I hope you might come away with a desire to create some freeing mixed media art that speaks to who you are! Until next time, be inspired my freinds!
It's very beautiful. I love it. Thanks for sharing,
