Altered Shilpa
"She" Mixed Media Canvas

Tracing with Gelatos

Welcome to a video tutorial by Guest Designer Baerbel Born.

In my last video I showed how you can apply and text or image on any surface with paper tissues. This time I show you, how you can copy and trace any image you want on any surface with the help of Gelatos. You can trace photos, magazines or your favorite old masters painting on your very own canvas.

My aim is, to bring artwork and painting to everyone, even if you think you cannot draw. Everyone can draw!

The finished results can look like this, and many more results are possible.

I want to show you an aditional detail, the hairband was decorated with rhinestones, and the wings have been highlighted with Glass Bead Glitter Gel to add some glamour. The skin tones have been added with PITT® Pastel Pencils:

The Mixed Media Journal from Faber-Castell has been colored with Mix and Match Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils Green and some PITT® Pastel Pencils for the skin tone. The background was stamped with the Stamper’s Big Brush Pen:
