Texture Gems™ Contemporary Happy Birthday Card Tutorial

TextureGem ContemporaryHBD Card by MargieHiguchi MAR2015

Greetings! I am featuring two new releases from the CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Mega Trade Show in January - Texture Gems™ and Mixed Media Stencils 101 - Hexagon. I wanted to create a mix media meets CAS (Clean And Simple) design and came up with this!

1 BG

I create a background with the Kraft card base using Pearl and Gold Texture Gems™ and Mixed Media Stencils 101 - Hexagon. Where I overlapped colors, I waited for the first layer to dry before using a contrasting color.

2 DieCut

While the background dried, I cut/embossed Contemporary Circles Strip Die with the gold mirror cardstock in my Artisan X-plorer Machine.

3 StampCutEmboss

Next I stamped my sentiment with Stamper's Big Brush Green Gold Pen onto white cardstock and cut/emboss over the it with Contemporary Circles Circle Die.

4 Adhere

I used the Adhesive Sheet - 4 x 6" for the Strip die cut and placed on my card front. The Circle die cut was centered in the strip using 3D Foam Square - Black, Regular for dimension.

5 Pearl

For the finishing touch, I added "pearls" with the Pearl Texture Gems™.
