Layout with glittery Black Cherry Gelatos® by Claribou

Layout white

Greetings, partners in crime !

For my second layout, I decided to use the gorgeous, glittery and very fancy Black Cherry Gelatos® from the new Steampunk Collection. I absolutely love the various shades of this color. Deep, light and colorful at the same time. Once this color comes in contact with the paper, it glitters and forms all kinds of tones. Pretty unique weapon !

Here's the project at the very final stage.

Want to know how I committed my page ? It's always a pleasure to share the details of my projects. So here it is.

Step 1 - Apply some Gesso on the water-colour paper. It really helps the color to slide perfectly on the paper.

Step 2 - Wet the page with a water spray bottle and apply the Black Cherry Gelatos® from the new Steampunk Collection,  directly on the page.

Step 3 - Apply some water on the color, with a paint brush, your finger or the bottle ... or a combinaison of those 3 weapons. Rock the paper until you are satisfied with the shape of your huge splash of color.

Step 4 - Dry the color. And play with the heat. You can use the heat to create some interesting shades in your color.

Step 5 - Stamping time. First, stamp with black permanent ink.

Step 6 - Add some texture and contrast with white embossing powder.

Step 7 - Finally, just go ahead with your own little rituals : washi tape, embellishments, color dripping, framing, etc.

Here's what my victim looks like, from different angles.

Weapons from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® : Gesso and Black Cherry Gelatos® from the new Steampunk Collection

Other weapons : Versamark - White embossing powder - "Bonheur" die cut from Lime Citron

For those who are not afraid of some live action, here’s a video of the whole procedure. Take a deep breath. Here we go …

It was a real pleasure to commit this page for you guys. I’ll keep you posted as soon as my next victim is available for public reveal.

Criminologist by day, serial scrapbooker by night ... I follow no pattern in selecting my paper victims : white, turquoise, lime green, dark pink... My only concern is to achieve the ultimate challenge : commit the perfect page, over and over again.
