Gelatos® Colors Mixed Media Whimsical Flower Pillow

Hi lovely creative ones!

I've got a fun video tutorial for you today on how to make a whimsical mixed media flower pillow using Faber-Castell Gelatos® Colors!

Check it out:

For this project, you'll need the following supplies:

  • Muslin fabric (Unbleached and pre-washed and whatever size you want. The finished size of my pillow is about 8" x 10")
  • Gelatos® Colors in your choice of colors. (I used a variety of colors from a few different sets)
  • Faber-Castell PITT® Artist Pens (Black and White)
  • Texture Gems™ in Ice
  • Glitter Glue (I used Ranger Stickles™ in silver)
  • Paintbrush
  • Water
  • Backing Fabric (I chose to use a black and white checkered fabric)
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Sewing Machine (or you can sew by hand too!)
  • Embellishments (I used Sari ribbon for my tassels)

Your pillow turned out so great! See I never think to mix the crafts I do I have tons of muslin fabric because I make stuffed bunnies so I could do this right now and I just might. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this project - you inspire me. Maybe I could do this. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! I didn't know that one could use Faber-Castell Gelatos on fabric. What a beautiful craft idea for adults and children. I think I'll use this idea for our annual reunion as a project take-home for the children. It would make a nice take-home remembrance!

Gorgeous! But I like Ann am wondering if you can seal or set the gelatos in some way so that you can wash them?
