Autumn is in the Air with Jen Matott

Hello Artsy friends!  It's that time of year when the air grows crisp with cool weather and pumpkin everything!  I created this page with that in mind!

I used a lot of mediums on top of the fun wood patterned paper.  I started with a layer of Gesso.  Just puddled in the center.  Once dry, I added some Gelato sprays I mixed with some watered down Gold Luxe in there.  The shimmer is awesome!  I created the mist with our mist making tool kit. Just mix Cinnamon and a bit of Red Cherry with some Luxe in Gold and  water down.

I also added a layer of Cinnamon and Red Cherry to the page with a brush over the Gessoed areas and on the patterned paper.  The color is so rich and reminds me of autumn. Using a Big Brush Pen in Black, I stamped the frames.

I wanted gold leaves so I took some paper leaves and brushed Gold Luxe on lightly.  Once dry, it was shimmery and soooo gold! Also took the Black Big Brush Pen and stamps text on the white leaves.

This page came together so easily except for the drying time of each part.  I love autumn and all the colors, crisp air, and apples/ pumpkins.  It's my favorite time of year!
