Blog Hop! Xyron and Faber-Castell with Rita Barakat

RitaBarakatWinter1

Hey there artsy friends Rita Barakat here on day 5 of the Xyron/ Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog collaboration! Both blogs have coordinated this week to bring you fabulous projects and prizes! 12234854_789100787866599_5666267265419139241_n

Who doesn't love winning a prize? All you have to do is comment to be eligible to win! Today I have brought to you a continuation of Tuesdays post where I shared my Fall canvas, the first girl in this seasons series. Today I am sharing my Winter (who also needs a name!)  Again using  watercolor paper, a canvas,  Xyron adhesives and of course Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® products. Let's take a look...

1-IMG_0339

Here are some items I pulled out - sometimes you use it all sometimes you don't - you know how that goes!

2-IMG_0341

I used a snowflake punch and some paper scraps to make some borders. Adhered them with a Xyron Mega Runner. I used  a spatula to add layers of Whipped Spackle and Pearl Texture Luxe.

3-IMG_0343

Already I am seeing nice texture, I add some snowflakes while the Whipped Spackle and Texture Luxe are still drying.

4-IMG_0349

I painted and cut out my girl's face; using a Xyron Mega Runner on the back.

5-IMG_0350

The Xyron Sticker maker came in handy for those tiny snowflakes! If you have never used one it's so easy!

Stick them in pull them out..

Peel back the top and lift your new stickers!

So I added all my pieces and it just wouldn't be complete without a little bling so of course I added Glass Bead Glitter Gel! I will be revealing Spring and Summer next week on my blog RitaBarakat.com I would love for you to come visit!

P.S. Did you know that Glass Bead Glitter Gel stays on even slick surfaces? With Christmas around the corner this is a good tip for ornaments, gifts and such! Just sayin'!

Each day this week, we’ll post a new project on our blogs. Make sure you hop to both blogs and the Facebook page for more chances to win and more inspiration! Leave a comment here and on the Xyron blog for a chance to win $50 in product from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft! For another chance to win, leave a comment on our Facebook page and the Xyron Facebook page! This blog hop will end at 12am EST on November 22nd. Winners will be announced on the companies’ blogs on November 23rd.

Happy Hopping!

Two down, two to go. I'm not a fan of snow but I do LOVE this canvas.

This really is incredible. I am blown away by the girl-she is so expressive I feel like her eyes are actually looking at me. I could never do anything like that-but I can recreate your fabulous background. Love the texture and shimmer.
I've had the little Xyron sticker maker forever-it's my favorite go to adhesive.

Linsey

Oh she is just delightful!!! I think she looks like a Katy or a Lizzie. :D Thanks for another completely beautiful canvas! I can't wait to see your Spring girl!!!
