Hey friends! Happy Sunday! I have another Bible process page to share with you today and I’m kind of in love with the verses I focused on. I chose Psalm 91:4-5. You’ve probably heard it before and so had I, but when I read through it a couple more times it really started to speak to me. Go read it a few times through and see what jumps out at you each time. It sure does have a whole lot of meaning and truth! I’m so happy that our God makes these kinds of promises to us. With the symbolism and imagery in this verse I for sure decided to journal with a feather theme!
I found this stencil in one of the Faber Castell stencil packs and I tried a new technique with it. I usually use paint with stencils but this time I reached for a pitt pen and traced over the outlines. Afterwards it looks like it was hand drawn and has a really cool effect.
I found some feather stamps in my stash, and as I’ve said before I love clustering and layering, so these were perfect to stamp around and on the stencil. I used a couple different colors of ink pads so there were a variety of colors.
My next two steps were adding some marks to the cross and dot clusters as well as highlighting my verse. I always highlight my verse so when I’m flipping through pages, I know exactly what I was reflecting on when journaling.
This was a new technique I tried! I usually mix and match alphabet stickers but I thought taking some of the different fonts on the stencils and mixing and matching those, would make a cool title! I found all the letters I needed to spell out “under” and used a black pitt pen to trace over them. I thought it turned out great!
The very last step was adding some more alphabet stickers to finish my title and then journaling what God was putting on my heart! I hope that you learned something new from this entry and that you found new meanings to Psalm 91:4-5! Have a blessed Sunday everyone!
