Hi, Artsy Friends! I had to opportunity to go to an all weekend scrapbooking retreat this past weekend and had a blast creating, eating, and laughing! I had the photos from my trip to the Faber-Castell warehouse and had been meaning to scrap it. It was two years ago... see how long it takes me to get photos done? I had so much fun looking around their warehouse and offices.
This is already my last post as a Guest Design Team Member. I am very happy to have been on a such wonderful team. Thanks Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® for the amazing opportunity !
So today, for my last project, I made a layout with the Texture Cards. This tool is great for any type of mixed media project. It allow you to easily create texture in a variety of mediums: Whipped Spackle, Texture Luxe™, Texture Gems ™, Gesso, , Gel Medium... The Texture Cards are easy to clean and comes with a metal ring for easy storage. You have 8 differents patterns.
On my project, I put the Whipped Spackle through a stencil and I add texture by rubbing the Texture Card on the medium (my stencil was still in place).
Hi Artsy friends! During my travels to demo for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft with amazing store owners, I have saves some of my demo pieces. Even though they do not start with an idea to complete them, I find I'm inspired by some of the color combos and playful use of Gelatos® and mediums. This page grew from one such demo paper.
This is Marie-Eve Bernard. Today, I want to share with you a layout with fall colors. I use my wonderful Gelatos® Colours. Here in Quebec, we can enjoy the magnificent fall colours. This is what inspired me for this layout. Hope you enjoy!
Hello Artsy friends! It's that time of year when the air grows crisp with cool weather and pumpkin everything! I created this page with that in mind!
I'm back with a sweet steampunk layout. I used the new Gelatos® Steampunk kit. I love the mix of colors of this kit.
First, I made a watercolor background with Gelatos® Snowcone, Cotton Candy, Aqua Dolce. After, I sticked some pieces of paper to create dimensions behind the photo. I added a little bit of gesso white with spatula.
Want a gorgeous metallic surface to cut into shapes and add as embellishments? Well, I have a technique for you! This was so fun (if you have a little patience and room to leave it to dry!)... Those pie wedges on the page are Texture Luxe skins! What is a skin? Well, acrylic mediums are plastic-based and when they dry on a non-stick surface, they can be peeled off and create a "skin" of medium to cut shapes from!
I like to create colorful layouts and I love the colors of the new Gelatos® Bright kit.
For this project, I would like to show you a technique to create a watercolor background very easily with Gelatos®.
First, prepare your scrapbook sheet with Gesso and dry it with the heatgun. You can now start applying your Gelatos®. After this step, spray water on your works.
Hello Blogosphere! It's Tiffany here today with another way to use those Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils with the new Mixed Media Stencils! I love the new Mixed Media Stencils because they come in a variety of patterns at an affordable price! They're also disposable, but with a coat of glaze you can prolong their life & usability! Pretty neat, right?
I hope you're inspired to try this SUPER EASY technique on your own!

Greetings, partners in crime !
For my second layout, I decided to use the gorgeous, glittery and very fancy Black Cherry Gelatos® from the new Steampunk Collection. I absolutely love the various shades of this color. Deep, light and colorful at the same time. Once this color comes in contact with the paper, it glitters and forms all kinds of tones. Pretty unique weapon !
Here's the project at the very final stage.
